A message from Kimberly
Hello and welcome to our community platform.
As founder of Global Women Leaders, I am very proud of our community of women: of the work we have already done and are yet to do.
More than 1.5 billion people in the world are facing situations of violence, conflict and fragility. The gap between needs and the funding and solutions available is widening and must be stemmed.
Leveraging our global community of highly skilled and connected women, we are uniquely positioned to make a real difference in the lives of people in need and the organisations that support them, while helping shape the role of the private sector and philanthropy in the humanitarian space.
I encourage you to find ways to get involved to further our work. There is much to be done and all contributions great or small are appreciated.
Thank you for your support and I look forward to working with you in service of people in need.
We leverage our global network to help tackle some of the biggest challenges faced by people in neglected crises and the organisations that support them.
Focusing on the people who are falling through the cracks and getting left behind, we seek to have impact in the key areas of:
- Maternal Health
- Food/water security
- Women's economic empowerment
As a women’s group, we view each challenge through a women’s lens, ensuring women and girls, often the most disadvantaged, are given equal access to funding and solutions.
Using our skills, experience and connections we:
- Provide strategic advisory, collaborative design and implementation for scaled humanitarian solutions.
- Help bridge the gap between humanitarian organizations and the private sector by:
- raising awareness within the private sector;
- drawing in funds, skills, connections and new ways of thinking from the private sector;
- creating pathways for private sector engagement and investment.
