We are looking for a Financial Controller to develop finance strategy/policies to help meet our funding goals and reporting requirements. This role will liaise with the executive team to determine more effective ways to handle corporate funding, tax issues, risk management and growth financing. You will also provide guidance for the accounts support role, including accounts setup and management.
Develop financial and tax strategies
Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
Manage the accounting and tax functions.
Oversee the group's accounting systems
Oversee the development and execution of contracts, volunteer agreements and any other formal agreements
Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions
Oversee the issuance of financial information
Report financial results to the board of directors
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's financial risk profile
Construct and monitor reliable control systems
Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
Ensure that the we comply with all legal and regulatory requirements
Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
Report risk issues to the board of directors
Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
Provide fundraising team with financial requirements for fundraising.
